The Revolution Maxima CT machine will be assembled for European users at the Buc site from next year, and staff in France will perform all functional and x-ray testing, system configurations, accessorizing, and deliveries, the company said. The total investment in the production line is around 1 million euros.

Overall, this development will help to reduce the carbon emissions for the transportation of European CT by 84% compared with 2022, according to the company. The plan is to combine a series of steps that were previously carried out on several logistics platforms and to use trains or trucks to make European deliveries.
In a separate press statement issued on 10 October, GE HealthCare said it has collaborated with healthcare provider Mediport on developing a one-stop global clinic for cardiology. A new multidisciplinary center has now opened its doors in Antwerp, Belgium, and the aim is to provide same-day diagnosis and care plan for patients ranging from wellness checks to stable chest pain management.
The one-stop clinic model was first launched for breast cancer care at the Gustave Roussy cancer facility near Paris. This model has since been replicated in South America and the U.S. Mediport is the first to apply the one-stop clinic approach to cardiology, the vendor noted.
