September 8, 2023 -- United Imaging is highlighting that the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw, Poland, has selected United's uMI780 digital PET/CT system.

The system integrates the features of long axial field-of-view digital PET imaging with 160-slice CT, delivering 2.9 mm NEMA resolution and 16 cps/kBq sensitivity. As a result, the uMI780 provides unparalleled levels of precision, sensitivity, and coverage. United added that the system's speed allows for whole-body scans to be performed in as little as five minutes.

The Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology consists of 13 specialized departments. This includes a capacity of 741 beds, as well as a multidisciplinary team of 437 experienced specialists. More than 50,000 inpatients and nearly 400,000 outpatients are treated each year.
