The figure was 30% higher than 2021's total, and 45% higher for in-person registrations compared to last year, a society spokesperson said.
Prior to the meeting, the RSNA estimated total registrations would be 34,385, of which 30,907 would be in-person attendees.
The meeting's theme was "Empowering Patients and Partners in Care." It included more than 900 scientific papers in 19 subspecialties, more than 1,300 scientific posters, over 300 education courses, and more than 1,450 education exhibits. Of 644 exhibitors, 124 were first-timers.
"The robust attendance numbers demonstrate that people still want the valuable interaction and networking experiences that a meeting like ours provides," said Executive Director Mark Watson.
Virtual Access to RSNA 2022 is available on-demand until 1 May 2023. RSNA 2023 will take place from 26 to 30 November in Chicago.
